Getting connected with a person who can be an accountability partner or mentor is critical to your follow through concerning God's call. Many of the areas you are exploring will be greatly enhanced by taking the time to chat with a human being who has your best interests at heart. When you look for a mentor, a cool question to ask is: Would I like myself if I turned out like this person?

Ultimately, you will take on some of the traits of the person you invest time with. Make sure it is someone you are cool with if you're going to become like them.

Here are a few people to consider letting speak into your life and help you as you grow:

• A friend on Instant Messenger
• District leader
• Phone a friend
• A leader in your church

Who would you add to this possibility list? There are many other options for you to consider, but we cannot encourage you enough to follow through with someone. Don't try to pursue God's call alone.
